AllisonDigital receives PR creative honors

Tupelo, MS, May 1, 2008 –

AllisonDigital, a creative services company in Tupelo, recently won three awards at the annual Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM) competition.

In 2003, PRAM began the “PRism Awards” program to honor and recognize outstanding work in the field of public relations by professionals within the state of Mississippi. The highest award of honor goes to the PRism winners, followed by Awards of Excellence and Certificates of Achievement.

At the 2008 PRAM awards banquet in Hattiesburg, AllisonDigital won a PRism award for the “Best Writing for Public Relations,” an Award of Excellence in the Publication category for The Southern Charity Ledger, a publication of Palmer Home for Children, and an Award of Excellence in the website category for the Tupelo Public School District’s Virtual Tour.

The PRism award that Glen Allison, owner of Allison Digital, received for his feature story “The Gentle Making of a Soldier” in The Southern Charity Ledger, is about a Palmer Home child named Jessica, who endures insecurities early in life only to find security and love at Palmer Home.

AllisonDigital received the Award of Excellence for the entire publication of The Southern Charity Ledger, which is published biannually by Dr. Ed Waldron, president of Palmer Home. Other members of the publication team for The Southern Charity Ledger: graphic designer Kris Zediker of Water Valley; assistant editor Marty (Bridges) Cooper of West Point; and photographer Stephanie Rhea of Tupelo.

AllisonDigital also received an Award of Excellence in the website category for the “Virtual Tour” of Tupelo Public School District’s website. The website was created to inform current residents of Tupelo or new families and companies moving to Tupelo about the excellence of Tupelo’s public schools. Steven Gilbert of Pontotoc is programmer for the Virtual Tour and Kay Bishop of Tupelo is the PR Director. The tour is available for viewing at http://www.tupeloschools.com/tpsd_tour/.

“I’m honored to be recognized, but I’m more honored that my clients get this recognition. Both Palmer Home for Children and Tupelo Public School District do wonderful work in the lives of children. Those kids deserve all the recognition,” Allison said
